Cheap Flight Tickets
The lowest fare depends on when you travel, when you book and what is included. These simple steps help you find a good price.
Ways to find a lower fare
- Compare nearby dates. The date strip on the results page shows fares for the days around your search where they are available.
- Sort by cheapest, then check the departure time. Very early and very late flights are often cheaper.
- Try nearby airports. The airport filter shows other options when they are available.
- Book as early as you can, especially for festivals, school holidays and long weekends.
- Compare one-way and round trip prices, as either can work out cheaper.
Check what the fare includes
A cheap fare is not always the best deal. Check the baggage allowance, meals and cancellation charges. Adding baggage or a seat later can cost more than a slightly higher fare that already includes them.
Why fares change
Airlines change fares all the time, depending on demand, the date and the seats left. We show live fares and check the price with the airline again before you pay.
Which day is cheapest to fly?
There is no fixed cheapest day. Midweek flights are often lower than weekend flights, but compare the dates around your trip.
Why did the fare change on the booking page?
The airline can change a fare at any time. We check it again before you pay and tell you if it has changed.
Are cheap fares refundable?
Many low fares are non-refundable or have high cancellation charges. Each flight shows whether it is refundable, and you can filter for refundable fares.
