One-Way Flight Booking
A one-way ticket suits you when your return date is not fixed, or when you plan to come back another way.
When a one-way ticket makes sense
- Your return date is not decided yet.
- You are moving to a new city.
- You plan to return by train, road or from a different city.
- Two separate one-way tickets are cheaper than a round trip on your route.
One-way tickets abroad
Some countries and airlines ask to see onward or return travel before you board. If you are flying abroad on a one-way ticket, check the entry rules for your destination first.
Is a one-way ticket half the price of a round trip?
Not always. On some routes two one-way tickets cost less, and on others a round trip does. Search both to compare.
Can I add a return flight later?
You can book a separate flight for your return at any time, at the fare available then.
